Asian Joe is the creator of Honoring Adult Stars. He began his career in IT as a web developer, creating websites for individuals and various companies. In 2006, he attended his first AVN (Adult Video News) Expo, where he networked with producers, models, and agents in the adult industry. While continuing his work as a web developer, he collaborated with numerous models and photographers.
Joe served as the webmaster for an adult talent agency and earned the nickname “Webmaster Joe.” After nearly 20 years in the Midwest, he relocated to Las Vegas to be closer to his parents. In Vegas, his connections within the adult industry led him to work as an extra for Brazzers, a prominent producer of adult films. His debut scene as an extra was in “Bagging the Bellgirl,” alongside Ramon Nomar and Lolly Ink, in 2013.
Following several appearances as an extra, Joe transitioned to working as a production assistant (PA). His responsibilities included picking up and returning performers from the airport, setting up and breaking down sets, and handling food deliveries, among other tasks. During his time as a PA, he gained valuable experience in lighting, videography, and photography. In addition to Brazzers, he worked with several other companies, including Wood Rocket, Naughty America, Team Skeet, BangBros, Kink, Digital Playground, Dog Fart Productions, and Wicked Pictures.
While at Wood Rocket, known for their parody films, Joe often acted or donned costumes for various shoots. Some of the notable projects he participated in include “Game of Bones,” “Strokemon,” “Ten Inch Ninja Turtles,” “Gnardians of the Galaxy,” “Dick Hard,” and “Mighty Muffin Ponder Rangers.” In 2019, he received his first and only AVN nomination for “Most Outrageous Sex Scene” for his role as Frosty in the parody “Frosty the Snowman.”
During the pandemic, Joe leveraged the skills he acquired on set to shoot camera work for various performers, filming and editing content for their paywall platforms.
